Company History

2000

Colliers CRE is formed by the merger of Conrad Ritblat and Colliers Erdman Lewis. 

Conrad Ritblat was founded in 1959 by John Ritblat, the current chairman of Colliers CRE.  The company’s specialist hotels division, formerly Robert Barry, was acquired in 1998 by Conrad Ritblat and now trades as Colliers Robert Barry.

2001

Colliers CRE floats on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange.

2003, 2004 and 2005

Colliers CRE acquires the surveying practices of Gooch Webster and Fisher Wilson (Scotland) in 2003, in 2004 it acquires both Fletcher King (Manchester) and Campbell & Co (Scotland) and in 2005 Lipfriend Dawson (Bristol).

2006

In 2006 Colliers CRE sets up a Madrid office and acquires destination consultancy Locum (Haywards Heath), leisure company Paul and Co (Bristol, Wetherby) and logistics and industrial specialist Jansons (Uxbridge).  Colliers CRE also buys its first majority stake in an established overseas business with the acquisition of Colliers Jackson Stops (Ireland).

2007

In 2007 Colliers CRE acquires building consultancy Huthwaite (Bristol) and bio-technology specialist Dodson Jones (Cambridge)

These acquisitions have broadened Colliers CRE's national coverage and further strengthened its range of services and business sectors.

Colliers CRE currently has offices in the West End and City of London, as well as 16 regional centres throughout the UK and overseas businesses in Madrid and Dublin.

2008

Colliers CRE acquired Godfrey Vaughn, a West End of London office specialist in April 2008.
