The WaterfrontExpo Conference & Exhibition takes place annually and is the only international forum for professionals involved in waterfront regeneration and development to network and share information. The 2008 event takes place in Liverpool from 3 to 5 November with the official support of the Liverpool City Region through The Mersey Partnership and North West development Agency. The event will take place in the stunning new Arena & Convention Centre located in the Kings Dock area adjacent to Liverpool City Centre.

About WaterfrontExpo 2008
The overall theme of this year's event is: 'Connecting people with the waterfront'. The keynote speaker is David Mackay, who played a key role in making Barcelona the best-designed city in Europe and has left an indelible mark on his adopted city. His practice, Martorell Bohigas Mackay Arquitectes, is credited with much of the planning and architectural design that helped Barcelona win the RIBA's Royal Gold Medal for Architecture in 1999 and the work has been praised as "perhaps the most interesting example of urban regeneration in the western world today" by Lord Richard Rogers.
For the first time the event will also feature a series of special sessions covering finance and investment for waterfront regeneration and development projects. The first session is aimed at municipal authorities and developers. The second covers the proposed Liverpool SuperPort development and is aimed at investors.
The Conference & Exhibition will be complemented by a full programme of site visits and an enjoyable and interesting programme for participants' partners.
