Bardello has appointed Colliers CRE to drive its expansion programme which involves opening up to 30 new venues in the UK over the next five years. It aims to open its first venue in spring 2009.
The Latin dance club operator is looking for sites between 7,500 – 10,000 sq ft in the Midlands and the South East, particularly London suburbs. Prime high street, busy A-road and leisure schemes are its preferred locations.
Bardello will host live music and theme nights where customers are taught a variety of dances, including Mambo, Salsa and Jive, and can dine from a Latin menu. Its venues will be open seven days per week.
Ross Kirton, Associate Director at Colliers CRE, comments: "Interactive entertainment is really big at the moment and Bardello is great concept that will appeal to a wide customer base. Older clientele will be attracted to its dance competitions as will affluent singletons eager to learn new moves for the dance floor.
He concludes: "The introduction of dance lessons is a clever move that will help the operator maximise revenue early in the week when pubs and bars tend to be quieter."
